HamiltonBuhl ALS700 Assistive Listening System and Accessories

This system is by far the best system for venues looking for an economical choice to offer hospitality to those with hearing loss. One of my parishioners, who has not really heard what has been going on in worship for years, said to me after his first time using this, You can't imagine the difference. I want to let potential buyers know that, for best results, you may need a separate amplifier to boost the level of audio going into the transmitter. It all depends on your setup. If you hook this up, and the sound is still not loud enough at full volume, insert an amplifier of some sort (am/fm stereo ) into the audio chain between your sound system and the transmitter input. I am using an old Realistic stereo. I am also using an audio compressor, between the amp and the transmitter, but that isn't necessary. I am using it primarily for its gate function, that eliminates some noise when no one is speaking. The compressor keeps the audio volume level.

Product met our needs once I added a signal booster to the transmitter . Now each receiver has a greater volume which was needed for the user.

I purchased this to replace an older assisted listening device that had quit working. Installed as part of a sound system for a medium size church in a fairly large sanctuary. I connected it to our Behringer X32 mixer. Initially I plugged a 1/4 jack into the Line In connection and got nothing. However, once I switched to the Mic In connection it worked perfectly. Not sure why the Line In connection does not work with our sound board, but it is perfectly fine with the other connection. The specs indicate you can get line of sight coverage up to 150 feet. I had no problem getting audio on the receivers anywhere in our fairly large space. It even provides coverage when I took the receiver to a floor below and in a separate hall over 150 feet away. Very impressive and the sound quality stays constant until you finally get out of range. I'm giving five stars based on these initial results. We'll have to see how it holds up longer term, but I'm quite happy with the product right now.

This is the 3rd of these systems I have installed at my client Churches. They have a great sound and range. I will continue to use these as long as they are available.

Set this up for our small congregation. Everyone who has used it has been enthusiastic and positive. The earbuds are super cheap and so we opted to get headphones for better comfort and sound. Great investment for the elderly in our church.

We use this connection at our small church with the FiFine wireless microphone setup. This works perfectly. Our Pastor can be a great distance away from the podium and our members can still hear. You don't know what this means to our little church and a Pastor that all ways on the move.

The device works exactly as advertised. It really helped the hard of hearing folks in my church. They are now able to clearly hear the pastor.

I first purchased the Peavey system. HUGE mistake! The Mic Out was so noisy you couldn't tell there was someone actually talking. The line out didn't work at all. So I boxed it up and sent it back and got the Hamilton-Buhl.. Works perfectly. No noise or static at all. It's good to know there are still companies that make quality a priority. 5 Stars!

These are very susceptible to noise, but once we place the receiver far from all the rest of the electronics in our booth and connected it to the soundboard with a long microphone cord, the sound was acceptable. For the price, these work great. We elected not to use the ear buds it came with, and bought mono-headphones (who wants to use ear buds that have been in someone else's ear? There is a little static that apparently came through the outlet on the wall, so we tried a noise suppression surge protector, and that eliminated most of it. Overall, a good buy.

Sound quality good. Our church could not afford spending more money and the Hamilton Buhl System ALS700 provided us with affordable value.
