Your Livestream Is Only as Good as the Camera Pointed at the PulpitA phone on a tripod at the back of the sanctuary gives you a wide, soft, echoing picture of a person you can barely make out. The homebound member watching at home gives up after four minutes. This kit exists to fix that without hiring a production company. Camera, shotgun microphone, wide-angle lens, hood and cage handle arrive in one box, assembled and ready for a volunteer to pick up. |
|
▸ Reach the Platform 12x optical zoom pulls a tight shot of the pulpit from the back row. Optical means real glass moving — the picture stays sharp. |
▸ Better Sound Than Built-In The included shotgun mic sits on the hot shoe and points where the camera points, with a +10dB gain switch for quiet rooms. |
|
▸ Fits Tight Sanctuaries The wide-angle conversion lens widens the view when you cannot physically move the camera further back. The hood cuts glare from side windows. |
▸ Volunteer-Friendly A 3.1-inch touchscreen instead of a menu system, and phone control over Wi-Fi so one person can start recording and go help elsewhere. |
What You're Actually Buying
Recording. 4K Ultra HD at 3840 x 2160, 30 frames per second, or 1080p at 60 frames per second when you want smoother motion for baptisms and worship. Footage records directly to an SD card — cards up to 512GB are supported, which covers a full morning of services without swapping.
The zoom. The lens runs 4.9–59mm at f/2.8–3.1 — a 12x optical range. Optical zoom physically moves glass, so a tight shot at full zoom carries the same detail as a wide one. Digital zoom is also available in the menu, but it crops and enlarges pixels, so we don't count it as reach.
Audio. The included shotgun microphone mounts to the hot shoe and connects by a short coiled cable. A three-position switch gives +10dB, 0dB or off. It will substantially outperform the camera's own microphone. It will not remove room echo — no on-camera microphone can, because it is sitting in the same reverberant room as the congregation. If your sanctuary echoes, the fix is a feed from your soundboard, and our team can walk you through it on the phone.

Planning to Live Stream? Read This First. This camera does not stream to Facebook or YouTube over its USB port. Almost no camcorder does. To go live you send the camera's HDMI output into a video capture card, and the capture card plugs into your laptop by USB. Your streaming software then sees the camera as a webcam. You need: this camera • an HDMI cable • a video capture card • a laptop. Call 1-800-480-1011 and we will put the right capture card in your cart before you check out. |
