- Nice Piece of Pro GearGood for archiving old cassettes. Good for copying cassette to cassette. Great digital output. Worked nicely with Audacity. A good purchase. Worth the money.

- Sounds great and works great!!Great little machine. I bought this to digitize a box of cassettes from the mid 70s to mid 80s. Mostly radio air checks and songs. Some family stuff also. Sounds great, works great. What can I say. I love it. My tapes sound as good as the day that I recorded them. Thanks, Teac!

- Very fine but expensive tape deck. Transfer to digital on computer is great!Initially had problems with cassettes getting stuck and would not eject after rewinding or fast-forwarding. Figured out to run Play for a few seconds and then stop to eject. Recording to computer works great.

- Awesome!!I’m a hardcore audio head with reel to reels, DAT, turntable, CDR etc all running together. Got tired of cleaning my old Marantz tape to tape and I love the Tascam MK line so I grabbed one of these to have a new quality unit. It’s killer! Well worth the price if you’re still running & dubbing tapes.

- Great Tape DeckWhen I backup my old tapes to my computer via the USB connection the backups are great. I remember the days of dual capstan real to real decks in the 1970's. What great sound you got at 7 1/2 IPS in those days. Now everything is digitized and we must go with the flow.

- Good professional deckThere are no longer many choices for a professional level cassette deck. Although the frequency range is limited, wow and flutter are low. Direct to digital via PC makes this deck great for archiving old cassettes.

- Great quality deck with decent features. There are a lot of new decks and similar equipment for cassette conversion, but this one is just one of a little few with quality components, performance and decent features. This unit will be used basically as a conversion unit to welcome all my analog mixes and mix-tapes to my digital world. So, there's need of auto-reverse. It handle my Chrome and Metal tapes as well as the Normals. And sound quality is great too. Tape speed on Deck 1 and the USB output port are very welcomed features.

- Perfect solution for cassette deck useThis is great. I really wanted a new deck in my HiFi and this fit the bill. I love this now all I have to do is find some new cassette tapes to listen to. But this works as it should. You can use your phono stage for this as the pre and it will work well with that. I love the sound and the experience and it looks great.

- Want a higher quality modern day cassette player that converts to mp3? This is your only choice. My situation was slightly different than most people who are looking for a way to convert tapes to modern digital format. My mother would make cassette recordings of her reading me bedtime stories or just daily activities with my parents and other family members. I had lots of tapes with the voice of my late father, and after so many years I saw the value of preserving those memories. Bottom line is this deck gets the job done. You will need to find software for converting to mp3 when using a laptop, which I also found on Amazon. Many of my tapes were less than ideal quality and were degrading quick, and I had no issues at all with this tape deck. I needed a way to convert and perhaps enhance the voice recordings I had, and this did a flawless job. I would also like to point out when converting to mp3, when using noise reduction, it will transfer the recordings encoded with noise reduction which was a plus in my situation. Not sure if it will dub that way though. It did not chew up any of my tapes which I was actually expecting, given the condition of my tapes. There is no other option for a higher end unit today other than this. Comparing it to high end tape decks from the 80s and 90s is ridiculous in my opinion. This deck is geared toward converting said tapes which it did for me perfectly. You just need to invest in good software that can enhance your new mp3 or mp4. My software would also convert to .wav format. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend.
