The TASCAM Solid State Multi Track Recorder is equipped with an internet FTP client that allows you to download sound files automatically from the server via one of TWO available SD card slots. It also has an Automatic Upload function which can upload right after recording! It features iOS/Android remote controls, RCA and XLR analog, AES/EBU andS/PDIF inputs/outputs, phantom power supply, playback functions, and more!
Never lose your message while recording with the Tascam SS-CDR250N CD Audio Recorder. It records in WAV & MP3 to Compact Flash, SD/SHC, USB memory and CD. It has dual SD card slots so backups can be created on the second memory card, or the recorder switches to the second card as soon as the first card runs out of memory. You sermon will be safe if power is interrupted while recording, the automatic file close saves every 2 seconds to prevent data loss. With dual format recording, the SS-CDR250N simultaneously captures files as WAV and MP3 format while the auto-mark function shows where a file has clipped.
Record or dub to CD-R, SD Card or USB media and pre-record with the input buffer so that the start of a recording isn’t missed. Three user presets allow quick setting of input level and Power On Record function starts recording as soon as power is switched on! There is a mono-mix playback function with Auto cue and auto ready for instant track playback. There is also a dedicated app available for iOS and Android devices that transport operations and various settings so you may control this recorder from your smartphone. Dante network capable.

- Cool!I already have the Tascam SS-R100, which has nothing to criticize... but the Tascam SS-CDR250N goes one better and plays in a completely different league!! These features and setting options are enormous. The double shot and the mirrored shot are particularly great for me. In addition, the copy function is extremely useful. I only use it for “canned” music + to archive my collection. I first recorded on cassette and then on MD and since these devices and carriers are prone to wear and tear or are no longer available (MD), this is the optimal way for me. Especially since the sound from the home surround system is simply great with the SS-CDR250N! I wouldn't have thought it possible before. All in all: For my needs and wishes, a top device with first-class features for the money. Conclusion: price-performance ratio = awesome!

- Jack of all tradesWhile this term might be a bit overused, for me it's the ultimate device. I don't know of any comparable device on the market that combines CD, SD, and USB recording! For me, as an accordionist in a Russian vocal group, features like pitch and key control are an absolute lifesaver for my self-created MIDI files. The A>B switching function is also simply brilliant for practicing. Sure, there are other devices that offer these features as well, but they usually lack a CD recorder (with WAV and MP3 playback). I can only give a more detailed review at a later date, as I've only owned the SS CDR-250N for eight days and have already tried out the aforementioned features, and for that reason alone, the purchase has been worthwhile. I would buy this device again in a heartbeat!

- Great MachineGreat machine in a low profile format. All types of analog and digital inputs and you're set to go with default settings. Only negatives...display is small and VU meters pretty bad for a recorder. Unit meant for rack mounting...when stacking, there's no clearance for air...feet are too small.

- IndispensableTascam has always been a reliable partner for me when it comes to studio equipment. I have been using this device for well over 1 year now and am extremely impressed. There is nothing better for quickly exchanging music files up to 96 kHz. WAV files are recorded on a stick or card and can then be implemented in a DAW, quickly, easily, flexibly through the use of various media. Always good sound.

- Super deviceFor me, this is a great recorder with top sound quality. I played CDs with top sound quality. The device is attached to my old Harman/Kardon CD player. So far I've recorded audiobooks on SD and USB with good sound quality and relatively easy handling. The device offers many recording and adjustment options, and I haven't tried them all yet. I'm joining a pre-recession, the part is very expensive but it stays in the rack.
